marine engines. This is a high-performance Charge Air Cooler (CAC) specifically designed for the Wärtsilä
18V46 engine.
The copper finned-tube cooler is engineered for optimal thermal performance. This copper
finned-tube cooler is engineered for optimal thermal performance. With 16 rows of C11000 ETP copper fins
and 12 mm diameter 90/10 copper-nickel tubes, it ensures efficient heat exchange and reliable operation
under high thermal loads. The structure includes 756 tubes and Carbon steel for the side plates and tubesheet, providing durability and mechanical strength,supporting:
·Inlet air temperatures of 160–200°C
·Outlet air temperatures of 60–65°C
·21 kg/s air mass flow
·Water side flow of 300 m³/h under 3–4 bar pressure
·158L water capacity
By significantly lowering the intake air temperature, CAC boosts air density, ensuring enhanced engine
efficiency and power output. The robust copper structure, paired with precise fin geometry,guarantees durability and stable performance under continuous operation.In addition to the 18V46 model, our charge
air coolers are also customized the Wärtsilä 16V32 series — widely used across offshore, power plant, and
marine applications.
