This radiator is engineered for Cummins KTA38‑G3 generator sets, based on the KTA38 base engine, typically rated around 926 kW .
It features a robust two‑pump, two‑loop cooling system, where the jacket cooling loop separately handles engine block temperatures, and the aftercooler loop cools compressed intake air independently .Designed to operate reliably in harsh environments up to 50°C ambient temperature.
Applications
Ideal for industrial and commercial generator sets, including applications such as:
Mining, oil & gas, intermodal, rotary UPS, and backup power
High‑temperature tropical environments
Configurations including G‑Drive gensets from Cummins Power Generation, Stamford, SDMO, FG Wilson, etc.
Cooling System Structure
Dual‑loop cooling
High‑temperature loop: cools engine jacket via main radiator
Low‑temperature loop: cools aftercooler via separate radiator or heat
Each circuit is driven by an independent water pump: the engine's own water pump drives the engine body circulation, high temperature; the front-mounted auxiliary water pump drives the intercooler/lubricating oil circuit
The cooling circuits of the heat exchanger, oil cooler and supercharger intercooler are completely independent and do not interfere with each other, which improves thermal efficiency and system stability.
